Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Two dishes, zero regrets! Both packed with wok hei and bursting with flavor. Truly a taste worth and will be coming back!!i Edited: Returned to try two more dishes — bitter gourd with egg and fried whole chicken. The bitter gourd was surprisingly delicious for such a simple dish — fresh and without a hint of bitterness. The fried chicken was decent, but the batter felt a bit too thick. A great fried chicken should be crispy and flavorful without tasting overly floury."
"Very good menu with a variety of dishes that ranges from cheap to relatively expensive dishes . Each dish was large in portion and tasted exquisite with wok hei . Lala in superior stock is delightfully authentic ."
"A really tasty Chinese restaurant—I’ve been there several times already. • Delicious food – everything tastes great and is beautifully presented, making it very appetizing just to look at. • Great for groups – perfect place to dine with a group of friends or family. • Downsides – • Parking is quite difficult to find. • Seating area is a bit cramped. Still, highly recommended for the food!"
"The double-layered copper pot is a must-order here. The top layer is filled with large prawns covered in red oil and full of wok hei (wok aroma), with the prawn meat being bouncy and firm. The bottom layer is filled with plump frog meat that has absorbed the soup, making it spicy, numbing, and savory, and very appetizing. Mapo tofu has a bright red color, and the aroma of fermented soybean paste blends with the oiliness of minced meat. Every bite is a delightful interplay of smoothness and numbing spiciness. White-cut chicken, the chicken skin is crystal clear, the meat is firm and not dry, and when paired with a special dipping sauce, the original freshness of the ingredients is preserved. The bitter melon and egg stir-fry was cooked to perfection; the egg mixture was fluffy, and the bitter melon had a sweet aftertaste. Blanched okra and stir-fried greens with minced garlic provide a refreshing balance to the strong-flavored copper hot pot. The clams in milk soup are absolutely amazing. The soup is milky white, and the addition of goji berries and scallions enhances the flavor. One sip and you'll feel warm all over."
"Authentic Hong Kong cuisine recommended by neighbour from Hong Kong. Pretty new but well managed restaurant with a good variety of selection. Recommend to book as the place are used to be fully occupied all the time. Very high CP value and awesome dining experience if you asked me but pls byo (although that did charged a little) as the place does not serve alcohol."
"very great chicken dish, big portion the chicken meat is juicy, tender, which is very hard to cook :) the only minus point to me is, the soup is quite sweet, maybe because of the chinese sausage"
"Great place for a meal if you have a group. Dishes are flavourful and just the right portion for sharing, not too small nor too big. The deep fried spring chicken is a must have. Although it states as spring chicken but it was good enough for the 6 of us. Super crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Makes you want to sink your teeth into it. The sauces is good, adds a different depth to the taste. Others worth mentioning is the bitter gourd with eggs. Service was top notch and staffs are very attentive. Overall will be coming back again to try more dishes. Best to make reservations before hand to avoid long waits. Place tend to be packed and hard to get in without reservations."
"Food was really good. I really enjoyed the clams with black bean sauce and the chives with cashews. The deep fried mantis shrimp had good spice and flavors, but not alot of shrimp, mostly breading. Would rather have ordered the prawns with garlic instead. Had dinner on a Saturday night for 2. Had to wait about 15-20 minutes."
